HISTORY
For owner Mike Yazumbek, DJing is fun and games, but it’s also a lifestyle he has lived and breathed for the past 12 years. Mike got his interest in DJing at age 20 and started out playing friends house parties, then eventually building up a reputation and DJing a the biggest nightclubs in the Chicagoland Area. Pretty Soon, a lot of his friends were getting married and Mike was the first person they thought of. After Djing hundreds of clubs, bars, school dances, private parties and weddings under his freelance name "DJ Mike Y" It was time to finally brand a mobile entertainment company. Bringing on two other DJs he has worked with a lot in the past, Reception Entertainment Chicago was Born!
Though Reception Entertainment Chicago is a new name, Mike and his DJ's reputation are well known and respected around the chicagoland area. Mike was most known for being a resident headlining DJ at 115 Bourbon Street where he played to 1000+ people every weekend.
